Fernando

Fernando is an undocumented student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in environmental science. Born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Fernando emigrated to the United States at the age of 12 and finished both middle school and high school like any other student. Fernando always knew about his ambitions of going towards a higher education, however, being undocumented became a challenge at the realization that his dream of being a lawyer was in peril. Luckily, Fernando found a compassionate counselor at Mountain View High School that guided him towards his new embracing community ScholarshipsA-Z. Ever since, Fernando continues to raise awareness about the challenges of being undocumented and with the support of ScholarshipsA-Z to  elevate the ever growing community of  undocumented folks in Tucson, AZ.
