Pedro Navejas Rodriguez

Born in Jalisco, Mexico, and raised in Waukena, California, Pedro Navejas Rodriguez is passionate about serving migrant, rural communities. His passion stems from the examples his parents set for him as equity-driven educators and agricultural workers.

Pedro received his M.A. in School Leadership from CSU Dominguez Hills, Masters in Teaching from the University of Washington, and a B.A. in Political Science from University of California, Berkeley. He has over 10 years of experience as an educator in migrant, rural communities in Washington and California. He serves as Coordinator of the Teacher Residency Program for Grow Public Schools and Alder GSE continuing to increase access to higher education and developing excellent teachers in rural Kern County.

Pedro lives in Bakersfield, CA with the love of his life, Jeremiah Sataraka, and enjoys reading sci-fi novels, watching RuPaul’s Drag Race, and figuring out how to deal with their emotionally dependent dog, Katara.
